About Us

The Valley of the Giants team comprises a small group of independent business owners with great chops. Several of us are artists, too, and so we've got our feet on the ground and our eyes on the horizon. We're all committed to strengthening local communities, farms and businesses and fostering local culture.

You can reach the project at this link, or call 646-242-6464. Our workshop is located at 23 Main Street in Accord, right across from the Accord Fire Station.

Maria Maria Reidelbach, creative director, has been creator, director, and/or project manager of several large scale art projects including “Homegrown Mini-Golf,” a farm-themed miniature golf course with the world’s largest garden gnome, in Kerhonkson, NY, “Goofy Garden Golf,” in the Hudson River Park, New York City, and “Totally Kid Carousel,” in Riverbank State Park, New York City. A skilled communicator, Maria is also the best-selling author of books on popular culture including Miniature Golf, a social history of the game, and Completely MAD: A History of the Comic Book and Magazine.
Lisa Lisa Kellogg, projects manager, has a skill-set ideal for her role: a Bachelor’s in Fine Art, a Master’s in Counseling/Psychology and a long career counseling and coaching about work, creativity and play. She has been Program Director for Women’s Studio Workshop and has advised many local businesses including ThinkFit and Victoria Gardens. She currently facilitates several coaching series including Amp it Up for artists and Green Vision Group. Her passion is working with people who want to help build a more healthy, sustainable and enjoyable world. She does this by Pointing the Way to Greater Levels of Creativity, Success & Fun-fillment!
Ven Stephen Vardin, consulting accountant, is the owner of Stephen Vardin & Colleagues, Inc, a bookkeeping company. More than this, Ven is an advisor for the big picture aspect of Valley of the Giants and how it integrates with the economy of the Rondout Valley. Ven has a special interest in B Corporations--companies with a dual emphasis on profit and social benefits and a certification, a certification we have as a goal.
Stuart Reitz Stuart Reitz, fabricator, is a sculptor and contractor with 25 years of experience. He attended the Cooper Union, where they teach students how to make anything, and was the recipient of the Rome Award, spending a year studying abroad. He graduated in 1983 with a dual major in Sculpture and Painting. He is experienced in mold-making, plaster-casting and concrete work.
Rosanne Rosanne Percivalle, display designer, is founder of 2D-3D Design, Inc., a custom design studio specializing in the design and creation of artwork, furnishings and sculpture for interior and exterior applications. Rosanne brings her talent to projects that have graced the pages of national magazines, record companies, publishers, museums and corporations around the world, including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.
Emilia Emilia Stern recently graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with her B.A. in studio art. While at school, she worked as a stitcher in the costume shop in the theatre department for three years and developed an interest in sculpture and textiles. This is her fourth summer working with Maria Reidelbach, where she has spent time helping with everything, from merchandising to landscaping to sign-making for Homegrown Mini-Golf and Valley of the Giants.

Even though we've only just publicly launched our project, we've already got a long list of people who have helped us along. We gotten great advice, tips, feedback, thoughtful criticism, and even have been lent equipment (now that's support!). Thanks so much for your help--we can't do it without you!
